DayStar began as a uniform company selling polo shirts and aprons direct to the public. By 1999, many uniform companies had found DayStar and requested for the company to convert to a supplier and sell through distributors only.

DayStar concurred and in 1999 DayStar started selling exclusively through Uniform Distributors.
